IrishGuidance.ie is a free guidance and student advice hub for Irish second-level students, college students, and their parents. We publish practical, plain-English guides on the Leaving Cert, CAO offers, student finance, accommodation, and life after school.

How we work

Every guide is researched against official sources — the CAO, the State Examinations Commission, SUSI, and Citizens Information — and reviewed before publication. We date every article and update guides when deadlines, fees, or rules change. If you spot something out of date, email us and we'll fix it.

Who operates this site

IrishGuidance.ie is operated by CourseCompass, an Irish education platform providing AI-powered course recommendations, career assessments, and CAO tools for students and schools. Our guides are free and always will be; where a CourseCompass tool is genuinely useful, we link to it and say so openly.
